    California State University, Florence announces a job opening in the area of Art History FALL 2019/2020.


    California State University, Florence announces a job opening in the area of Art History for Fall 2019/20. The qualified job candidate will be able to teach a course in Early Renaissance Art History in Italy (see description provided below). Ideally the candidate will be fluent in both Italian and English. Preference is given to persons with a history of successful classroom teaching who possess an advanced degree in Art History or a related field.


    General survey of the development of Italian art, particularly of Tuscan art, from the dawn of the Renaissance around 1300 in the art of Giotto to its full flowering in the mid-late 1400s. Class will include many site visits to museums, churches and historic sites.

    CSUIP in Florence was established in 1966. This one-year program has a strong curriculum with diverse courses and areas of study and vast cultural activities and community engagement projects that serve a group of approximately 80 students who come from the 23 CSU campuses to study in Florence.
